Recommended conditions for eligibility of employees within social distancing zones for travelling to work

This is the highlight of the Official Dispatch No. 2242/LDTBXH-TLD-PTMof the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Vietnam General Federation of Labour and VCCI, regarding implementation of the dual objectives of quarantine and manufacturing at enterprises and factories.

According to this document, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Vietnam General Federation of Labour and VCCI agree to instruct and recommend enterprises and factories to organize manufacturing and business activities to ensure conformity with safety requirements.

Requesting Presidents of the People’s Committees of the provinces/cities, based on the regulations of the competent authorities and the contents of the instructions and recommendations, to provide instructions tailor-made to their actual local condition.

Several recommendations about safety requirements that employees within social distancing zones must meet to travel to work as follows:

– As regards employees residing at localities implementing social distancing regulations at the request of competent authorities that are exposed to infection at home or workplace, they can get to work when they have obtained negative results of tests for SARS-CoV-2 virus according to local government’s requirements.

– As required by localities where social distancing regulations are imposed, if employees need to stay at enterprises or concentrated accommodation sites arranged by enterprises for disease prevention and control purposes, employees must have negative test results before entering concentrated accommodation sites.

While staying at concentrated accommodations of enterprises, as required by local governments, employees can undergo further tests.
